Security
Nidhara · Personal Finance & Budget Tracker · Last updated 10 June 2026
Nidhara holds sensitive financial information, so security is built in, not bolted on.
How your data is secured
- Encryption in transit: all traffic is over HTTPS/TLS.
- Encryption at rest: your data is encrypted in storage.
- Strong authentication: passwords are stored only as one-way hashes; sessions use signed tokens.
- Data isolation: every record is scoped to your account; no cross-user access.
- No bank linking: Nidhara is manual — it never connects to or reads your bank, so there is no banking credential to leak.
- On-device privacy: an optional private mode + PIN add a personal layer only you can unlock.
